Jammu, 10 April (H.S.): A suspect was detained inside an Army establishment at Sunjwan area and later handed over to police after some contacts in his mobile phone were found to be linked to Pakistan.
The detained individual has been identified as Touseef Hussain, a resident of Chowadhi. He was working as a van driver at a school located inside a high-security Army installation at Sunjwan.
Officials said that during preliminary investigation, three contacts saved in his phone under coded names-“Chacha Gujjra”, “Ahmii” and “Ali Bhi”-were traced to Pakistan.
However, they added that nothing conclusive has been found so far to suggest that he was sharing any sensitive information.
According to officials, Hussain told investigators that his grandparents were originally from an area now under Pakistan’s control, and he used to speak with relatives across the border.
They said further investigation is underway to ascertain the nature of these contacts and any possible links.
