Jammu, 10 April (H.S.): Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, today chaired a high-level meeting of the Joint Control Centres (JICs) to assess the evolving security landscape in the region.

During the meeting, detailed and focused deliberations were held with all the stakeholders on key security aspects, with special emphasis on strengthening the intelligence grid, enhancing coordination among various agencies, and ensuring the optimum utilization of available resources.

The discussions also centered on further enforcing the counter-terrorism framework to effectively deal with emerging challenges and maintain a robust security environment.

The Northern Army Commander stressed the importance of synergy, real-time information sharing, and proactive measures to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Lt Gen Sharma reiterated the commitment of the Armed Forces and associated agencies towards maintaining a strong and responsive counter-terrorism grid, aimed at safeguarding the region and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
