Lucknow,
April 10 (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday
inaugurated the National Interventional Council 2026, organized by the
Cardiology Society of India at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University in
Lucknow. Expert doctors from India and several countries participated in the event.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi said that a sick India cannot become
strong, prosperous, or self-reliant. For health, people will have to change
their daily routine before seeking treatment. Doctors will have to step up to
the plate.
Addressing
the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the organization is holding
this seminar in Lucknow after a long journey. This represents the new face of
Uttar Pradesh in a changing India. Today, India stands out in the world with
new competitiveness. Before 2017, Uttar Pradesh itself stood as a sick state.
Today, it stands in a leading role in India.
This
is a matter of concern for all of us. In a country like India, where attention
has been paid to these things since ancient times, sleeping and waking up on
time, having a balanced diet and nutritious food has been a part of our life.
All this was included in our daily routine. Daily routine changed, lifestyle
changed and its consequences are also in front of us all. The challenge we are
all surrounded by today. There are two aspects of this. This is the aspect of
prevention and treatment. You are interested in treatment. You must be
interested in research in this field. But I believe that prevention is more
important. For this, awareness should be spread. A large number of people are
falling prey to this disease.
Chief
Minister Yogi said that it is not that the government has not taken any
concrete steps in this direction. Eight to ten years ago, if a person fell ill,
the family was most worried about money. More than 60 crore people of India
have been linked to the health scheme. They are getting free treatment. Apart
from Ayushman Yojana, people in Uttar Pradesh have been benefited from the
Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana. Along with the state employees, recently
Anganwadi workers, cooks, Shiksha Mitras and instructors have also been
provided with the facility of free treatment. Today, 81 medical colleges and
two AIIMS are being run successfully in Uttar Pradesh.
Yogi
said that the government has made other efforts besides increasing facilities.
Equipment is available at cheaper rates, and pharma parks are being
established. These efforts will make treatment accessible. Despite all this, if
we do not change our lifestyle, we cannot have a good life. Medical colleges
are crowded with patients. Are doctors able to give enough time to their
patients? The general public spends four to six hours a day connected to their
smartphones. Therefore, it is important that everyone makes changes to their
daily routine. If a doctor advises this, people will be more likely to listen
to him.
The
Chief Minister said that adulteration is at its peak today. I visited a
district and inquired about dairy products. You can order as much dairy
products as you want, and they supply them. When a raid was conducted,
thousands of quintals of khoya and paneer were recovered. Today, you are
attending a program, but there is no guarantee of what you are eating. There is
no guarantee that what you think you are eating is actually adulterated. Therefore,
change your daily routine. Prime Minister Modi promoted yoga along with
medicines. The world is embracing it. The government has worked towards making
treatment affordable. It is God's grace that the poor rarely suffer from heart
disease. They work hard. Chief Minister Yogi said that a sick India cannot
become strong, prosperous, or self-reliant. He appealed to doctors to consider
both aspects. This will not only be good for the field but also for a healthy
society. Only a healthy society can make the country healthy and prosperous.
