Noida,
April 10 (HS): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday attended the
convocation ceremony of Noida International University in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Perceptions
about Gen Z are often wrong. They are called lazy or entitled, but I believe
the reality is completely different. This generation is self-driven, takes its
own decisions, believes in collaboration and accepts diversity. They have a
practical approach to solving problems, flexibility, and a desire for
autonomy,” he said.
Highlighting
India’s demographic strength, Singh referred to French philosopher Auguste
Comte and said, “Democracy is destiny.” He noted that nearly 60 per cent of
India’s population is under the age of 30, calling it not just a statistic but
a formidable national strength.
Speaking
on the occasion, he said that a person with a small mind always goes through
the phase of jealousy, frustration and despair. He does not attain happiness in
his life. A person with a small personality does not attain bliss in life. The
talk of ultimate bliss is far away. He said that the more you expand your mind,
the amount of happiness and joy will keep increasing, the amount of bliss will
keep increasing. He said that the more you expand your mind, the more ultimate
bliss you will get.
He
said that there is no specific limit to ultimate bliss. If you want to achieve
happiness and joy in life, then always be careful not to let smallness creep
into your mind. He said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee used to say that no one can
become great with a small mind, and no one can stand with a broken heart.
He
said that most of the intelligent people in the world are using scientific
discoveries and research only for commercial gain. He said that instead of
using technology and science to improve human life, they are using it for their
own benefit. He said that company scientists are working to treat serious
diseases with the help of artificial intelligence, but the owners of those
companies sold all the research resources of those scientists to those who make
material for pleasure. He said that the problem becomes serious when we put
commercial concerns above social concerns. He said that there is a need that
technology should progress according to the needs of humanity and not just
according to the demands of the market.
