Mathura,
April 10 (HS): In India's rapidly growing tech ecosystem, emerging from small
towns and building a global presence seems to be a new trend. AppSquadz,
founded by Chandrakant Agarwal and Priyanka Agarwal of Mathura, has emerged as
a key player in this effort. This story began not with large investments or
resources, but with a clear vision and strong determination. The company was
founded in 2014 from a small, rented room in Noida, where Chandrakant and
Priyanka handled every responsibility from development to operations. Resources
may have been limited, but their passion for learning and determination to grow
took them from nothing to building a Rs. 500 crore company, AppSquadz.
Chandrakant's
story makes this journey even more special. Coming from a modest middle-class
family, Chandrakant began working in his father's printing press at a very
young age. It was there that he learned the values of hard work, discipline,
and responsibility. From childhood, he possessed a unique energy and a passion
to achieve something big. His interest in technology led him from Mathura to
Kota, where he passed the UPTU exam and chose the path of engineering.
Financial
difficulties continued to plague this journey, but he never let them become his
weakness. During college, he supported himself by tutoring children. This
period further strengthened his personality, where he forged a path of
self-reliance and struggle. He did get a job after graduating from engineering,
but his heart always remained focused on achieving something bigger. He clearly
believed, Taking risks without money may feel like failure, but I have
the courage to face that failure. With this thought in mind, he decided
to quit his job and take steps towards turning his dream into a startup.
Priyanka
Agarwal's support proved to be his greatest strength during this journey. She
not only served as a co-founder, but also stood by Chandrakant through every
difficult decision. She believed in his vision and decided to take risks
together. They resolved to face every uncertainty together and turn their dream
into reality. The early days weren't easy. Starting from a small rented
apartment, he handled every responsibility from cleaning to operations
himself—believing that no task is too small for a true entrepreneur, and this
passion became the foundation of his success.
The
company's biggest challenge in its early stages was building a strong team.
Despite limited resources and recognition, the duo, through their clear vision
and strong leadership, brought together people who understood the company's
purpose and wanted to join it, not just for the sake of it.
The
company began its journey with gaming app development, but strategically
shifted its direction over time, understanding changing technologies, new
trends, and industry challenges. Based on market research and experience, the
company ventured into mobile app and website development. Its entry into cloud
services just before the COVID-19 pandemic proved a turning point for the
company. It gradually expanded its services to areas such as cloud services,
DevOps, Artificial Intelligence (AI), UI/UX, and IT consulting. Becoming a
consulting partner with Amazon Web Services catapulted the company's growth,
while being empanelled for the Indian government's Indian AI Mission
further strengthened its credibility. This sustained growth and visionary
strategy has led to the company receiving numerous awards, including the 2023
AWS Consulting Partner of the Year award.
Today,
AppSquadz has served over 1,200 clients, established a presence in over 30
countries, and continues to grow with a team of over 400 professionals. The
company has reached a revenue level of Rs. 500+ crore.
Chandrakant
and Priyanka's journey isn't just a company success story, but it shows that
with clear thinking, consistent hard work, and strong mutual trust, even a
small town can achieve global recognition. Their journey sends a message to
today's youth that every challenge can be turned into an opportunity; all it
takes is courage and persistent effort.
