Dibrugarh (Assam), 01 April (HS): Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra arrived in Upper Assam’s Dibrugarh on Wednesday for a one-day election campaign program ahead of the Assam Assembly Elections 2026.

During her visit, Priyanka Gandhi is scheduled to address public rallies at three locations—Nazira, Tingkhong and Khumtai—intensifying the Congress party’s campaign efforts in the region.

Her first rally is being held at the Mekipur Tea Estate playground in Nazira, where she will campaign in support of Leader of Opposition and Congress candidate Debabrata Saikia.

Upon her arrival at Dibrugarh Airport, Priyanka Gandhi was received by Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Gaurav Gogoi and AICC general secretary Jitendra Singh, who accorded her a warm welcome. Shortly after, she departed for Nazira to address her first election meeting.
