Communicable Disease Control Campaign in a program organized at Balrampur

Hospital on Wednesday. On this occasion, Brajesh Pathak said that together we

will attack dengue and malaria. A special communicable disease control campaign

has been launched from today. Along with this, a door-to-door campaign will

also be conducted from April 10 to 30. We will attack mosquito-borne diseases

through both the special campaigns. There will be coordination between 13

departments in these campaigns. Our government is committed to providing best

health facilities to the people of the state.

Brajesh

Pathak said that in 2018, these campaigns, launched in just seven districts

with the support of 13 departments, were successfully implemented in all 75

districts. The Medical Health and Family Welfare Department serves as the nodal

department for this campaign, and other departments organize activities related

to their departments.

ASHA

workers and Anganwadi workers are the pivotal force behind the Dastak campaign.

Three times each year, these workers personally visit more than 40 million

homes to deliver messages to the public regarding disease prevention, prompt

treatment, and diagnosis, as well as environmental and personal hygiene.

Numerous other activities, including disease prevention for pregnant women,

village-level sensitization meetings, drinking water purification methods, and

mosquito control activities, are also carried out.

For prevention of dengue and chikungunya disease, advanced testing facility of

dengue has been made available by making 89 (86 sentinel and 03 apex)

laboratories functional in all 75 districts of the state.
