07 March (HS): On the solemn and proud occasion of the 28th Passing Out Parade,
a heartfelt Wreath Laying Ceremony was conducted at the War Memorial, Officers
Training Academy, Gaya, on Saturday. Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM,
UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command and Reviewing
Officer of the Passing Out Parade, rendered solemn homage to the fallen heroes.
Accompanied by senior officers and dignitaries of the Academy, he reverently
paid tribute to the supreme valour and ultimate sacrifice of those immortal
warriors who laid down their lives in unwavering service to the Nation.
In
keeping with the rich traditions of the Armed Forces, earlier Officer Cadets of
the Passing Out Course also participated in the Wreath Laying Ceremony. The
cadets rendered solemn homage to the Bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice
in service of the motherland. The observance of Shok Shastra added a deeply
reverent note to the proceedings, reinforcing the ethos of honour and
remembrance that defines military service. The extraordinary courage and
selfless sacrifice of the fallen soldiers perpetually inspire the young officers
to serve the nation with profound pride, steadfast dedication and unshakeable
commitment.
The
Wreath Laying Ceremony was an integral part of the ceremonial events
surrounding the 28th Passing Out Parade at OTA Gaya. The ceremony served as a
powerful reminder that commissioned service is built upon the foundation of
sacrifices made by countless heroes before them.
