New Delhi, 05 March (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral discussions Thursday with Finland President Alexander Stubb at Hyderabad House, focusing on strengthening India-Finland relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation.

The leaders reaffirmed commitment to advancing ties, covering diverse issues from trade to technology. Both expressed determination to deepen partnerships amid evolving global dynamics.

President Stubb first met External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, discussing West Asia tensions, Russia's Ukraine war, transatlantic relations, and EU-India synergy. Stubb described EU-India partnership as a strategic imperative across multiple domains, with Finland ready for swift implementation; he congratulated Jaishankar on Raisina Dialogue's success as a premier global strategic forum.Earlier, Stubb paid homage at Raj Ghat, honoring Mahatma Gandhi.
