Bhubaneswar, 05 March (H.S.): Senior leader Dilip Ray on Thursday expressed confidence of victory after filing his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections in India, stating that he expects to repeat his success from 2002.

Speaking to the media, Ray said he has the full support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, J. P. Nadda, and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. He added that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) extended complete support to him during the nomination process.

Ray further said he will begin his election campaign from Friday and is confident of securing a clear victory similar to his win in 2002.

Responding to questions about a possible alliance between the Indian National Congress and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Ray remarked in a lighter tone that “if required, we too can join hands.”
