Guwahati, 04 March (HS): Raijor Dal on Wednesday released its first list of 11 candidates for the 2026 Assam Assembly elections. The list, approved by the party’s election committee, was formally announced by party president Akhil Gogoi.

According to the announced list, Abdul Basit Mazumdar has been fielded from Pub Goalpara, while Ramen Chandra Barthakur will contest from Jalukbari. Anjan Talukdar has been nominated from Manas and Ajijur Rahman from Dalgaon. Mehbub Mukhtar has been fielded from Dhing, whereas Alak Nath will contest from Tezpur.

Dulal Chandra Baruah has been named the candidate from Sissibar Gaon and Rahul Chetti from Margherita. In addition, Lakshyajyoti Gogoi has been nominated from Digboi, Dr Gyanashree Bora from Mariani, and Ratan Daw from Bokakhat.

The party indicated that additional lists of candidates for the upcoming elections will be announced in phases over the coming days.----------
