Guwahati, 04 March (HS): Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya celebrated Holi with the 38th Battalion of Assam Rifles at Srikona in Silchar on Wednesday, joining jawans and officers in a festive and patriotic atmosphere.

Interacting with the troops, the Governor extended his greetings and praised their dedication, discipline and service to the nation. He highlighted the force’s key role in maintaining peace and strengthening ties with local communities across the Northeast.

He also lauded the civic action initiatives undertaken by the Assam Rifles and acknowledged the contribution of soldiers’ families. Senior officials, including Inspector General (East) Major General Indrajeet Singh Bhinder were present on the occasion.----------
