New Delhi, 30 March (H.S.):

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a direct virtual dialogue with BJP booth workers from Assam via the NaMo App, urging them to work hard for the BJP-NDA's hat-trick victory in the upcoming state elections.

He slammed opposition parties for promoting infiltration, calling it a direct threat to Assam's identity, security, and culture.

Speaking under the 'Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot' program, Modi praised the workers' dedication amid Bohag Bihu festival preparations and election campaigning.

Assam endured years of instability, violence, and militancy, he said, but the BJP's double-engine government ushered in peace, development, and security, marked by 12 major peace accords over the past decade.

Workers from districts like Sonitpur, Tamulpur, Nogaon, Karbi Anglong, and Tinsukia shared experiences, from improved farmer livelihoods to Bodoland's transformation from curfews to cultural harmony.

PM Modi advised booth workers to remind young voters aged 18-22—who know only the last 10 years of peace—about past violence under Congress rule through bhajan sandhyas, heritage events, and scheme discussions.

He highlighted schemes like Arunodoy Yojana and Lakhpati Didi, aiming to make thousands of Assam women lakhpatis, and called for short videos of beneficiaries in traditional gamusa attire to boost social media outreach.

Women should ensure every family member reaches the polling booth on voting day, he added.

Infiltration threatens Assam's identity, farmers' lands, tribals' livelihoods, and women's honor, Modi stressed, echoing Karbi Anglong worker Devraj's concerns about Congress turning infiltrators into a vote bank.

Workers must document illegal encroachments, share victim videos, and mobilize NRIs and youth for voting, while listing scheme beneficiaries to form voter groups.

He lauded tea garden workers' land rights as a foundation for their future and called for meetings to contrast old hardships with new progress

PM Modi described Assam's thousands of booth workers as his hands, feet, ears, and eyes, setting targets for record turnout and victory.
