Guwahati, 25 March (HS): The General Observer for Kamrup (Metro) district, IAS officer Pradeep Kumar Krishnarao Dangei, on Wednesday inspected a total of 44 polling stations across the city, including SB Deorah College and Ulubari Higher Secondary School, to review preparedness for the upcoming Assembly elections.

During his visit, the observer also reviewed the training programmes for presiding officers being conducted at SB Deorah College and Ulubari Higher Secondary School. He emphasized strict adherence to the prescribed guidelines to ensure free, fair, and orderly conduct of the elections.

It may be noted that polling for all 126 Assembly constituencies in Assam is scheduled to be held on April 9, while the counting of votes will take place on May 4.-----------
