Guwahati, 25 March (HS): APCC President Gaurav Gogoi on Wednesday expressed strong anguish over the Singapore court verdict in the death case of Zubeen Garg, stating that it has legally aided the main accused.

Addressing a press conference at Khanapara, Gogoi said the verdict contradicts earlier claims and has raised serious doubts, adding that it is difficult to believe such an outcome.

He alleged that instead of ensuring justice, the BJP and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma have engaged in character assassination, while the verdict has provided relief to the accused.----------
