Jammu, 22 March (H.S.): A new book of Hindi poetry titled Gehri Goonj, authored by Sonika Sharma, was released by eminent writer and Padma Shri awardee Prof. Shiv Nirmohi at a simple yet impressive function.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Nirmohi congratulated Sonika Sharma for her significant contribution to literature and appreciated her sustained efforts in enriching literary traditions in Duggar.

He also wished her success in her future literary endeavours. Notably, Gehri Goonj is the seventh book written by the author.

Renowned writer and archaeologist Anil Paba, noted writer and columnist Ashok Sharma, Tilak Raj Sharma, Anusuya Devi, Vishal Sharma and Rakesh Padha were also present on the occasion.

Anil Paba, Ashok Sharma and Tilak Raj Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, lauded Sonika Sharma’s literary talent and appreciated her dedicated efforts in promoting literature through her writings.

The programme concluded with warm appreciation for the author and best wishes for the continued growth of literature in the region.
