Dhubri (Assam), 21 March (HS): Thousands of devotees gathered at the Eidgah ground in Dhubri district of lower Assam on Saturday to offer Namaz on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The day began early as people assembled in large numbers to perform the special Eid Namaz, celebrating the culmination of a month of fasting with devotion and joy. At Ward No. 11 Eidgah ground, more than 10,000 worshippers came together in a spirit of unity and faith.

The congregation included not only residents from across the town but also people from nearby areas, making it one of the largest gatherings in the region. The Eid sermon (khutba) was delivered by Maulana Abdul Rashid, Imam of Bahadurtari Jama Masjid, who addressed the gathering at the Eidgah ground.

Following the Namaz, celebrations began with people greeting each other warmly, embracing and exchanging Eid wishes while reflecting the values of unity, charity, and gratitude that define the festival.----------
