Lucknow, 20

March (HS): On the second day of Chaitra Navratri (March 20, 2026), Uttar

Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath prayed to Goddess Brahmacharini, another

manifestation of Goddess Durga. He prayed to the Goddess on social media for

everyone's well-being, austerity, and self-control. Goddess Brahmacharini is

revered as a symbol of austerity, morality, and hard practice, and her devotion

inspires endurance.

Yogi

Adityanath requested Maa Brahmacharini's blessings, saying that Mother should

grant bravery and patience to all seekers. He desired that, with the blessings

of the Mother of the Universe, everyone's life would be filled with happiness

and success, as well as sacrifice and good conduct. The Chief Minister sent

these congratulations to the state's citizens on the auspicious festival of

Chaitra Navratri, which stresses the power of penance, sacrifice, and

meditation. Maa Brahmacharini is supposed to be the Goddess of Penance, who

inspires believers to be determined and successful.

In a post

on X, he stated, “Holding in her lotus hands a beaded necklace and a waterpot.

May goddess, the supreme celibate, be pleased with me. On the second day of

Chaitra Navratri, the holy festival of worship of Maa Durga, may the grace of

Maa Brahmacharini rest upon the entire creation. May Maa irrigate all her

seekers with the blessings of courage and restraint. Jai Maa Brahmacharini.”
