(HS): Five people were killed, including four members of a family, and four
others were seriously injured after the SUV they were in collided with a tree
here, according to authorities on Friday. The police have named the deceased as
Kamta Prasad (70), his son Devendra (35), daughter-in-law Seema (32), his
3-year-old granddaughter Aradhya, and the car's driver, Rishi (20). DCP East
Abhishek Agarwal stated that a family from Etawah district was returning in the
Bolero after praying at the Kaila Devi shrine in Rajasthan. En way, the car
collided with a tree in the Chitrahat police station area of Agra district,
killing five people and seriously injuring four more.
The
corpses of the dead have been submitted for postmortem examination. According
to police, the injured have been referred to UP University of Medical Sciences,
Saifai (in Etawah) for treatment.
