Nashik, 19 Mar (HS): Enquiry against Captain Ashok Kharat through Special

Investigation Team (SIT) under Tejasvini Satpute has been initated, after his

arrest under charges of sexual exploitation of women in the name of predicting

future through numerology calculations.

Police

also raided various places connected with Kharat and seized property worth Rs

200 crore. Kharat was arrested following a complaint of rape registered with

Wada Police Station in Nashik. An offence against him was registered and police

obtained police custody till March 24.

Many

politician and officers were Kharat’s clients. Captain Kharat has acquired huge

property including lavish bungalow in Govindnagar, Nashik, office on Canada

Corner, 30 acre of land and land worth crores in Pathardi and Shirdi.

Many

persons from political and cultural fields were regular visitors of Kharat”s

farm house in Mirgaon.
