
Jalgaon, 19 Mar (HS): A fraud worth Rs 16.63 crore
relating to fake Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme in Tawal teshsil of
Jalgaon district came to light. Yawal police have registered an offence
following a complaint lodged by Bharat Waman Ware and are investigation.
A per the complaint, documents including 7/12 records,
Aadhar Cards, bank passbooks from many farmers were collected at different
Common Service Centres (CSCs) and based on fake insurance claims money was
siphoned. A total of 2o41 farmers have been affected due to fake registration
of 2437.39 hectares of land. Fake information of 1089.28 hectares were shown
for the insurance claims.
Offence against CSC operators have been registered.
