
Jammu, 19 March (H.S.): District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress under the District CAPEX Budget 2025–26 at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
During the meeting, the DC conducted a detailed review of both financial and physical progress achieved under the CAPEX Budget.
It was informed that the district has achieved 70.79% cumulative financial progress, while physical progress stood at 88%, with 2009 works completed so far.
A thorough department-wise review was carried out, covering parameters including outlay, funds released, expenditure incurred, allotted cost of new works, percentage expenditure against releases and number of bills pending at the treasury for payment.
The DDC reviewed progress across key sectors and departments, including R&B Bandipora, Sumbal and Gurez; I&FC Sumbal; PHE Bandipora and Sopore; PHE Hydraulics Bandipora, and Minor Irrigation Division Shadipora. Sectoral performance of Elementary and Secondary Education (CEO Bandipora), Health (CMO Bandipora), Youth Services & Sports, and Urban Local Bodies including Municipal Committees Bandipora, Sumbal, and Hajin was also assessed.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Bandipora; Superintending Engineer R&B Circle Bandipora; Assistant Commissioner Development; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat; Chief Medical Officer; Executive Engineers of various departments; and other concerned officers.
