March (HS): Yogi praised Rawat on his birth anniversary on Monday as a valiant
son of India and an inspiration, encouraging young people to follow in his
footsteps of discipline and patriotism. Yogi Adityanath stated that General
Rawat's contribution to the nation and the strengthening of the armed forces
will be remembered, emphasizing his role in making India's military stronger.

Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a new auditorium and unveiled
a statue of the late General Bipin Rawat, India's first Chief of Defence Staff
(CDS), at Sainik School in Gorakhpur in December 2025. Yogi praised Gen. Rawat
as a symbol of national unity and discipline, recognizing his legacy on his
birth and death anniversaries.
