
Bhubaneswar, 16 March (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi over the unfortunate incident that occurred at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and reviewed the situation.
According to the Chief Minister, the Prime Minister held a detailed telephonic discussion with him regarding the incident and the steps taken by the state government to address the situation. Majhi informed the Prime Minister about the emergency measures initiated for the affected persons, including their relocation and the special medical care being provided to them.
The Chief Minister also apprised the Prime Minister about the high-level departmental inquiry ordered by the state government to investigate the incident.
Earlier in the day, Majhi personally visited SCB Medical College and Hospital to assess the situation on the ground. During the visit, he directed the administration to ensure all possible government assistance for those affected.
Officials said all concerned departments and teams are working in close coordination to manage the situation and provide necessary support.
Majhi also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his concern and assurance of necessary assistance during this sensitive time.
