New Delhi, 13 March (H.S.): The Delhi High Court modified bail conditions for Neelam Azad, accused in the 2023 Parliament security breach case, granting her permission to reside in her home district of Jind, Haryana. Justice Subramanium Prasad's bench issued the order today.

Azad's counsel highlighted her humble origins and aspiration to pursue an LLB degree, urging relocation to her village in Jind. Noting her bail grant on July 2, 2025, with no subsequent violations, the court approved the move—requiring prior notification to the investigating officer. It relaxed prior weekly reporting at a police station on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to monthly check-ins on the 15th with the probe officer.

The incident unfolded on December 13, 2023, when two accused leapt from the visitors' gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber, releasing yellow smoke canisters from their shoes atop desks, sparking chaos. MPs subdued them amid the pandemonium; security personnel later arrested them, alongside two protesters outside deploying similar smoke.
