New Delhi, 12 March (H.S.): Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi asserted Thursday that resolving the Iran conflict won't resolve India's gas cylinder crisis, as global structures evolve, demanding a mindset shift centered on national priorities.

Speaking to journalists in Parliament premises amid West Asia war-induced shortages, Gandhi called LPG and oil disruptions merely the beginning, lamenting denied floor time under new procedures favoring ministerial precedence. He stressed compromised energy security threatens petrol, gas, and fuels broadly.

Preparation is urgent, he urged, warning unpreparedness imperils millions; beyond Iran supplies, India enters unstable times requiring fresh thinking over outdated approaches. No political point-scoring, Gandhi clarified, but a call for PM Modi to safeguard citizens and energy resilience—contrasting government calm with perceived panic keeping Modi from the House.
