New Delhi, 10 March (H.S.):

A Supreme Court bench led by Justice J.K. Maheshwari granted anticipatory bail today to folk singer Neha Singh Rathore in a controversial case stemming from her social media post on the Pahalgam terror attack.The court directed Rathore to fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

Rathore's post allegedly contained objectionable remarks against the Prime Minister and Home Minister, prompting an FIR in Uttar Pradesh under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Sections 196, 197, 152, 353, and IT Act Section 69A. She had sought quashing of the FIR, which triggered the legal battle.
