New Delhi, 10 March (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt felicitations to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on its 57th Raising Day Tuesday, hailing their pivotal role in safeguarding India's critical infrastructure.

In an X message,PM Modi praised the force's renowned resolve, discipline, and dedication, noting CISF jawans' indispensable contributions to securing vital installations and assets nationwide. Their unwavering commitment fortifies India's security and progress, he affirmed.

Established on March 10, 1969, under a parliamentary act with an initial 2,800 personnel across three battalions, CISF has evolved into a robust armed force of nearly 188,000, protecting PSUs, airports, metros, ports, nuclear plants, and sensitive sites.
