In a message on X, PM Modi stated that the nation is steadily advancing towards the vision of a self-reliant and developed India through science and innovation. He described the occasion as a celebration of the spirit of research, innovation, and scientific curiosity that propels the country forward.

The Prime Minister noted that this day honors the historic discovery of the 'Raman Effect' by eminent scientist C.V. Raman, which brought global recognition to Indian research and propelled the nation to new heights in scientific achievement.

He reiterated the resolve to empower youth, strengthen the research ecosystem, and harness science and technology for national progress and worldwide betterment.
