
New Delhi, 28 February (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound grief on Saturday over the tragic explosion at a factory in Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh, which claimed multiple lives.
In an X post, President Murmu described the factory blast as extremely heartbreaking, extending deep condolences to the bereaved families and praying for the swift recovery of the injured.
The Prime Minister's Office, via X, conveyed Modi's anguish over the loss of lives, offering sympathies to the affected families and wishes for the injured's recovery. PM Modi announced ₹2 lakh ex-gratia from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for each deceased person's kin, plus ₹50,000 for the injured.
