New Delhi, 28 February (H.S.): A two-day National Women Thinkers' Conference titled 'Bharati', centred on women's empowerment and their pivotal role in nation-building, will convene at Vigyan Bhawan on March 7-8 to galvanise intellectual discourse towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
Jointly organised by Bharatiya Vidvat Parishad, Rashtra Sevika Samiti, and Sharanya, the event adopts the theme Bharati: From Nari to Narayani, assembling erudite women across domains for deliberations on eight core pillars—Vidya, Atmnirbharta, Mukti, Chetna, Prakriti, Sanskriti, Siddhi, and Kriti—via keynote sessions, panels, expert workshops, poster exhibitions, and artistic renditions.
Rashtra Sevika Samiti chief coordinator Sita Gayatri emphasised India's complementary view of gender roles, urging women to amplify their innate maternity, agency, and leadership for societal reconstruction.
Prof. Shivani V of Bharatiya Vidvat Parishad highlighted the focus on actionable insights from trailblazers in law, education, journalism, and administration, confirming President Droupadi Murmu's attendance alongside 1,500 delegates, 200+ keynote experts, women MPs, vice-chancellors, and spiritual guides.
Dr. Rachna Vajpayi of Rashtra Sevika Samiti Delhi noted the shift from empowerment to women-led progress, fostering cross-generational synergy, while Dr. Renuka Bokare of KKSU envisioned it as a seed for a vast empowerment oak, echoing PM Modi's Sakshama Nari, Samriddha Bharat. Chief patron Shanta Kumari (Shantakka), Union Women & Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi, and luminaries from education, defence, science, literature, and judiciary will feature, culminating in policy recommendations to the Centre and a national women thinkers' network.
