
Nagpur, 26 Feb
(HS): The Maharashtra Government has granted approval for release of Rs 2,353
crore for acquiring land for extension of Samruddhi Mahamarg (Samruddhi
Expressway) up to Chandrapur.
The revised
administrative sanction stems from revision of final alignment that would take
off from Seldoh Interchange to Navegaon (Mor) adding about 192.83 km and
Chandrapur by-pass of 11,96 km.
The sanction
covers Rs 1,493.31 crore as expenditure for land acquisition and Rs 860.63 as
interest payment. Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has
tapped HUDCO for availing the loan to fund the land acquisition and
construction of the e-way to Chandrapur.
