Nagpur, 26 Feb

(HS): The Maharashtra Government has granted approval for release of Rs 2,353

crore for acquiring land for extension of Samruddhi Mahamarg (Samruddhi

Expressway) up to Chandrapur.

The revised

administrative sanction stems from revision of final alignment that would take

off from Seldoh Interchange to Navegaon (Mor) adding about 192.83 km and

Chandrapur by-pass of 11,96 km.

The sanction

covers Rs 1,493.31 crore as expenditure for land acquisition and Rs 860.63 as

interest payment. Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has

tapped HUDCO for availing the loan to fund the land acquisition and

construction of the e-way to Chandrapur.
