Guwahati, 26 February (HS): The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed Guwahati Municipal Seva Bhawan at Betkuchi, which will serve as the headquarters of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation.

The modern municipal complex has been built at Betkuchi with the objective of streamlining civic administration and improving public service delivery in the city. The new facility is expected to enhance coordination among departments and provide better infrastructure for municipal operations.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister clarified that there has been no increase in land revenue. He stated that the government has not enhanced land tax and reassured citizens on the issue, dismissing concerns regarding any hike.----------
