Hyderabad, 25 February (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his wishes to actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna ahead of their wedding scheduled for February 26 in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

In a letter addressed to the families, the Prime Minister conveyed his congratulations on the occasion. “It is a pleasure to be invited by you to the wedding of Vijay and Rashmika to be held on 26 February 2026. Heartiest congratulations, and greetings to the Deverakonda and Mandanna families on this truly joyous and auspicious occasion,” the message read.

Referring to the beginning of a new phase in their lives, the Prime Minister cited the Sanskrit phrase “sakha saptpada bhava,” which signifies that after taking seven steps together, the couple becomes lifelong friends. He noted that while both actors are known for their roles on screen, this new chapter in their personal lives would hold special significance.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his blessings for their future, expressing hope that the years ahead would be marked by shared aspirations, mutual respect and partnership.

The wedding ceremony is scheduled to be held at Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur. According to reports, the event is expected to be a private ceremony attended by close family members and friends.

Earlier this week, the actors confirmed their wedding through a joint statement on social media. Referring to themselves as “Virosh,” a name popularised by their fans, the couple acknowledged the support they have received over the years.

Fans and well-wishers have continued to extend greetings to the couple as the wedding date approaches.
