New Delhi, 25 February (H.S.): Union Minister and senior BJP leader Piyush Goyal accused the Gandhi family of perpetually compromising national interest, tracing the pattern back to India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

Addressing a press conference at BJP headquarters on Wednesday, Goyal branded the Gandhis a compromised political family, citing Congress's history and present as evidence of repeated national betrayals.

Targeting Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Goyal dubbed him the poster boy of negative politics, alleging foreign influences drive his anti-India statements tarnishing the nation's image. He highlighted Rahul's Ladakh visits associating with Sakir Mirali—figures opposing Indian interests—as proof of deeper ties.

Goyal condemned decisions under Indira and Rajiv Gandhi: the 1971 Simla Agreement freeing 93,000 Pakistani POWs without reclaiming PoK; stifled Bofors probe; and Nehru-era concessions on China-Tibet issues.

Under PM Narendra Modi's emerging new India, Goyal claimed Congress discomfort fuels relentless negativity—yet the public discerns truth and votes decisively.
