Srinagar, 24 February (H.S.): On 11th death anniversary of former NC general secretary, Sheikh Nazir Ahmad, the party president, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and vice president and CM Omar Abdullah paid rich tribute to Nazir Ahmad and expressed gratitude for his lifelong contributions to the Party and the people of J&K.

In a statement, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said: “Sheikh Nazir Ahmad’s organisational acumen, unwavering loyalty to the ideals of NC and his enduring commitment to democratic principles have left an indelible mark on the political landscape of the region.”

CM Omar Abdullah extended heartfelt tributes to Sheikh Nazir Ahmad and emphasised his discipline and commitment for NC.

He reaffirmed the resolve of NC to uphold and carry forward the ideals that Sheikh Nazir championed throughout his life placing service above self and principle above position.

Those who paid tributes to Sheikh Nazir Ahmad were Ali Mohd Sagar, Advisor to CM, Nasir Aslam Wani, Treasurer, Shammi Oberoi, NC MPs, Ministers, MLAs and others.
