Mumbai, 24 Feb (HS): Four people died in a head-on

collision between a truck and a car near Kolgaon I Ahilyanagar district on

Ahilyanagar-Dound Highway. Another person who was inured in the accident is

being treated at a hospital.

According to PSI Nandkumar Sonwalkar, members of

Payghan family from Maltur village in Patur Tehsil of Akole district had gone

to Chimbhale village in Shrigonda Tehsil by a car. After finishing his work

till late night on Monday, they were returning to theirs village. On Tuesday

morning his car collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. The

deceased have been identified as driver Nitin Anil Kokate (22), Gajanan Janadan

Payghan (47), Durga Gajanan Payghan (36), and Vaibhav Gajanan Paughan (19). A

13-year old boy who was injured has been admitted to hospital.

The impact was so harsh that police had to take out

bodies of the deceased with difficulty.
