Jammu, 23 February (H.S.): A Shiv Jayanti function was organised by the Brahma Kumaris at Charitra Nirman Bhavan in Rajiv Nagar, Bantalab, where MLA Jammu North Sham Lal Sharma highlighted the importance of Rajyoga and spiritual discipline in daily life.
The programme began with a flag hoisting ceremony held in a spiritually charged atmosphere and was attended by a large number of local residents, including women and youth.
The ceremony was presided over by Rajyogini BK Sudarshan Didi, who spoke about the spiritual significance of Shiv Jayanti and said that the flag of the Supreme Father Shiv symbolises peace, purity and spiritual power.
She urged people to adopt moral and divine values in their lives. Dr Arvind Karwani was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Sham Lal Sharma congratulated the Brahma Kumaris for organising the event and said that Shiv Jayanti reminds people of eternal values such as peace, unity and righteousness.
He said that in today’s fast-paced world, Rajyoga meditation is essential for maintaining mental balance and inner strength.
He encouraged the youth to take part in spiritual activities and work towards building a peaceful and value-based society.
Senior Brother BK Ravindra also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the spiritual and social services being carried out by the organisation in the Jammu region.
The programme was conducted by BK Kusum, In-charge of the Bantalab Service Centre, who also guided the audience through Rajyoga meditation.
