Kolkata, 22 February (H.S.): The All India Trinamool Congress on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Communist Party of India (Marxist) by sharing a photo on the social media platform X. The Trinamool Congress alleged that the CPI(M), which for decades portrayed itself as a symbol of moral superiority and high ideology, has now completely collapsed.

The photo shared by Trinamool shows a document issued by the West Bengal State Committee of the CPI(M), which states the immediate expulsion of a state committee member. Citing this document, Trinamool Congress has questioned the Left party's alleged ideology and internal contradictions.

In its post, the Trinamool Congress stated that today the CPI(M)'s so-called ideology has been reduced to tactical alliances made solely for political survival. Allegedly, it is colluding behind the scenes with the very political forces it publicly opposes.

The Trinamool Congress also alleged that CPI(M) leaders mock beneficiaries of welfare schemes while sitting in television studios, preaching equality and social justice. The post sarcastically stated that those who once claimed moral sway in Bengal have not only become politically irrelevant but also appear incapable of even spelling basic Bengali correctly.

In its statement, the Trinamool Congress accused the CPI(M) of hypocrisy, double standards, and intellectual bankruptcy, saying, How the mighty have fallen into a pit of hypocrisy, irrelevance, and illiterate bluster..

There was no official response from the CPI(M) to this scathing attack at the time of filing of the news.
