Mumbai, 21 Feb (HS): The Maharashtra Government has sanctioned

Rs 100 for payment of pending dues of MSRTC employees related to their pay

revision. The arrears and the hiked salaries will be paid with the payment of

February 2026.

The decision was taken following the Maharashtra State

Road Transport Corporation Employees Union threatened strike from February 24.

Transport Minister and Chairman of MSRTC, Pratap

Sarnaik has appealed to the union to withdraw the proposed strike. He said that

the State Government has arranged for the money as MRSTC was falling short of

the funds.

Earlier, Payments of pending dues were started with December’s

salary, but were delayed due to financial and technical problems. Frustrated by

the delay the employees union has threatened strike from February 24.

With the appeal to withdraw the proposed strike,

Sarnaik has appealed to the employees not to create problems during the ongoing

State Board examination of Standard X and XII.
