The Indian men's hockey team, under the leadership of captain Hardik Singh, stands ready to launch its campaign in the FIH Pro League's Hobart leg from February 20 to 25 at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre in Australia, facing off against Spain and host Australia with renewed vigor.

Having absorbed valuable lessons from the Rourkela leg, the squad has recalibrated with a positive mindset, viewing these encounters as pivotal opportunities to test team combinations, fortify strategies, and build momentum ahead of this year's Men's Hockey World Cup and Asian Games.

The 24-member roster blends seasoned campaigners with promising young talents, signaling a dynamic blend of experience and fresh energy.India kicks off its Hobart campaign on February 21 against Spain, followed by a clash with Australia on February 22. The team faces Spain again on February 24, culminating in a final showdown against Australia on February 25.

Recent head-to-head records underscore the fierce rivalry. Against Spain in the last 10 encounters, both sides have claimed four victories apiece, with two draws resolved in India's favor via shootouts. Australia holds the edge over India in their past 10 meetings, securing six wins while India notched two triumphs and two stalemates.

Two-time Olympic bronze medallist Hardik Singh has been entrusted with the captaincy for this leg. Emerging stars such as Amandeep Lakra, Manmeet Singh, Angad Bir Singh, Arijit Singh Hundal, and Aditya Arjun Lalgune have earned call-ups, eager to prove their mettle on the international stage.
