Kolkata, 20 February (H.S.):
The Howrah Division of Eastern Railway conducted a special passenger awareness campaign at Kamarkundu Railway Station on Thursday to promote the use of the RailOne app and other digital railway services.
Howrah Division officials informed passengers that the UTS on Mobile app will be discontinued from March 1, 2026. Therefore, passengers were advised to use the RailOne app for hassle-free ticket booking, real-time train information, and other railway services. The RailOne app offers multiple railway services on a single platform.
During the campaign, passengers were explained in detail about the process of downloading the app, ticket booking, and other features. A large number of passengers participated and appreciated this step towards digital railways.
In a post on social media platform X later on Thursday night, the Howrah Division stated that such awareness campaigns aim to provide passengers with a smart and digital travel experience, making railway services simpler, faster, and more transparent.
