Mumbai, 20 Feb (HS): A 30-year-old woman committed

suicide by consuming poison after she administered the same poison to her two

children. The incident occurred in Ambegaon in Shirpur Teshil of Maharashtra’s Dhule

district.

Bharati Sanjay Pawar (30) gave poison to her sons

Chirag (3) and Riyansh (5) and later consumed poison herself.

According to police, Sanjay Samal Pawear was staying

in Ambegaon. When he returned home after work on Thursday evening he found

Bharati and two sons unconscious and immediately rushed them to the

Sub-District Hospital. He could sense the strong smell of poison. Doctors in

the hospital pronounced Bharati and Chirag dead. Riyansh was referred to the

District Hospital after preliminary treatment.

The cause of suicide was not clear. Police are

investigating further.
