20 Feb (HS): The police arrested the man who murdered his counterpart labourer
in the Haidergarh police station area of Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh late last
night. Additional SP (South) Ritesh Kumar Singh said that Suraj, son of Kishan
Lal, resident of Kishanganj, Bihar, and Mangal, son of Shyam Lal, resident of
Guru Bakshganj, Raebareli, who worked at the Paras brick kiln located in
village Behta in the Haidergarh police station area, had a dispute over some
issue late on Thursday evening. Mangal hit Suraj with a wooden stick and
injured him. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. There, doctors
declared him dead. Both were kiln workers. Both were close relatives. The
accused was taken into custody last night. The family of the deceased has been
informed. The body has been sent for post-mortem. A case has been registered at
the Haidergarh police station under relevant sections.
