
Kharagpur, 20 February (H.S.): Anticipating the extra rush of passengers during the Holi festival, South Eastern Railway has announced the running of a special train between Santragachi and Darbhanga. This Holi special train will operate on scheduled dates in March, providing significant convenience to passengers from Eastern India and Bihar.
South Eastern Railway shared the information in a press release on Thursday night. According to the railway, train number 08109 Santragachi-Darbhanga Holi Special will run every Tuesday from March 3, 2026, to March 31, 2026. The train will depart from Santragachi Junction railway station at 07:30 am and arrive at Darbhanga Junction railway station at 19:05 pm the same day. On the return journey, train number 08110 Darbhanga-Santragachi Holi Special will run every Tuesday from March 3 to March 31, 2026, leaving Darbhanga at 8:00 pm and reaching Santragachi at 9:45 am the next day.
This special train will stop at Dankuni, Bardhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Barauni and Samastipur stations en route. Railway officials said that in view of the increasing rush of passengers during the festival, the operation of special trains will continue so that passengers may be provided with easy and safe travel facilities.
