South 24 Paragnas, 20 February (H.S.): Tension erupted in Bhangur on Friday over the filling of forms under the state government's new Yuva Sathi scheme. The incident occurred at the Yuva Sathi camp held at Pithapukur Primary School in Bhagwanpur area of Bhangar-(2) block, where a heated argument and scuffle broke out between youth and government officials over the application process.

According to local sources, a large number of young men and women had been waiting in line since morning to submit their forms. Allegedly, the camp did not start at the scheduled time, and after a long wait, the responsible officials arrived at the scene around 11 a.m. The late arrival of the officials angered the youth and local residents, who surrounded the officials and began protesting.

On information, the police from Polarhat police station arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. The police pacified the protesters and questioned the officials about the delay in the camp.

According to police sources, the situation is currently under control and an investigation has been initiated into the entire matter.
