Lucknow,
20 Feb (HS): During question hour in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Friday, the
opposition raised the issue of unemployment and inflation. The government
responded to these questions. Labor Minister Anil Rajbhar, representing the
government, stated in the House that 850,000 government jobs have been created
since 2017. Employment created in other sectors, including the MSME sector, is
separate.
Samajwadi
Party member RK Verma said in the House today that potato farmers are not
getting a fair price. The cost of a single acre is Rs. 46,000, but the farmer
receives Rs. 27,000. The government will implement a policy to address the
difference between wholesale and retail prices.
Minister
Chaudhary Laxminarayan responded, The opposition member has already answered
the question. He's saying farmers' produce is being sold cheaply. I can say
that next month I'll be campaigning in states where inflation is higher than in
UP. The UP government hasn't imposed any taxes in nine years. The state
government doesn't decide the price of LPG gas cylinders.
Meanwhile,
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna stood up in the House and said
that since the Yogi government came to power, funds have been directly
transferred to farmers' accounts after the purchase of wheat and paddy. Petrol
and diesel prices are lower in Uttar Pradesh than in 24 out of 28 states. For
the first time in the country, the central government has reduced GST by such a
significant amount. All the states whose swearing-in ceremonies these (opposition)
people stand on stage and wave their hands at have welcomed the decision to
reduce GST.
Leader
of the Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey said that the minister is saying there is
no inflation. I want to say that he should go among the public and say that
there is no inflation anywhere. The public will answer. The Leader of the
Opposition said that now is the time to go and leave. This is not the time for
allegations and counter-allegations. The House proceedings should proceed in a
positive manner. This would be appropriate.
On
the question of employment to the youth by Samajwadi Party's Hriday Narayan
Singh Patel, Labour and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar said that between
2012-2017, 1 lakh 39 thousand youth got government jobs. In our government,
from 2017 till now, more than 8 lakh 45 thousand government jobs have been
given. We do not want to count the employment given to the youth in the MSME
sector here. On Sandeep Singh's follow-up question, Minister Anil Rajbhar said
that if the youth of UP wants to become an entrepreneur, then the Yogi
government provides full support. In the government of the opposition party SP,
unemployment allowance was given to the youth for only one year. Youth below 25
years of age were not considered unemployed, nor were people above 40 years of
age considered unemployed.
SP
member Ravidas Mehrotra said that all MLAs give details of their property at
the time of nomination in the elections. The government had asked the
government officials and employees to give details of their property. Till now
the details of all the officials have not come. Will the government take action
against those officials who have not given the details of their property? While
supporting the government, Suresh Khanna said that the details of immovable property
of all the officials have been uploaded on the government portal. Anyone can
see it. There is a system to upload the details of property between January 1
and January 31. There is a provision for action against those officials who do
not do so within the stipulated time.
Citing
a Government of India report, SP member Dr. Sangram Yadav said that the highest
number of workers migrate from Jaunpur district in Uttar Pradesh in search of
employment. Azamgarh is next, and Gorakhpur district is third. Hapur district
has the lowest migration. Minister Anil Rajbhar said that the report the
opposition members are referring to is from the Corona crisis. The situation at
that time was different. The entire country and the world recognizes the skills
of Uttar Pradesh's youth.
Responding
to a question from Samajwadi Party member Samarpal Singh, Transport Minister
Dayashankar Singh said, When I became minister, there were 8,500 buses.
There's no question of pollution from UP Transport buses. As for the color of
the buses, there are buses painted in saffron as well as the tricolor.
Responding
to another question, Labor Minister Anil Rajbhar informed the House that the
Labor Department does not provide coaching. The government is providing
coaching under the Abhyudaya Scheme, which serves over 19,000 young people. The
Sant Ravidas Scheme is also being implemented alongside it.
Responding
to a question from Congress Legislature Party leader Aradhana Mishra Mona, the
Labor Minister said that we have sent six thousand youth to Israel.
Preparations are underway to send one thousand more youth. No complaint has
been received from any youth. In our government, youth are not only being sent
to Israel, there are plans to send them to other countries as well. An
outsourcing board has been formed. The board meeting has also been held. On
this, Samajwadi Party member Sangram Yadav said that complete information about
the board and the meeting should be placed in the House. The SP termed the
information about the formation of the board as false and walked out of the
House. With this the question hour ended.
