Solapur, 20 Feb (HS):

Solapur’s young girl Sakshi Made demonstrated skills in using ‘Dandpatta’ for

continuous 12 hours, 12 minutes and 12 seconds on Chhatrapoati Shivaji Maharaj

birth anniversary on Thursday. Dandpatta, known as Gauntlet Sword in English,

is an old weapon used by the fighters during war.

Sakshi’s feat was registered by the ‘Orange Book

of Malaysia’ and the ‘Green Book of Malaysia’.

Sakshi started the

feat in the presence of her mother Saraswati Made, and President of Freedom

Fighter Sidramappa Fulari Trust, Sangeeta Fulari. She completed the feat under

the guidance of Sangeeta Fulari and Yoginath Fulari.

Sakshi was given

certificate at the hands of District Government Pleader Pradeepsinh Rajput and

Director of Sambhaji Shinde Vidya Mandir, Radhika Chilka, for her rare feat.
