
West Bengal, 19 February (H.S.): In a successful anti-crime operation, the Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested three suspects at Panskura Railway Station on Wednesday evening and recovered stolen gold and silver jewellery, cash, mobile phones and other items.
As per information, the anti-crime watch team was patrolling the station premises on Wednesday evening when they noticed three young men moving suspiciously. The team chased them and detained them. Upon questioning, they identified themselves as Mohammad Raj (25), Mohammad Kafe (24), and Mohammad Aman (24), residents of Patna district, Bihar.
When police searched their bags, they recovered gold and silver jewelry, cash, and mobile phones, along with several other items for which they could not produce any valid documents. Upon further interrogation, the accused admitted that the items were stolen from a house near the Panskura bus stand.
The police subsequently arrested the accused and confiscated the recovered items. A case has been registered at the Panskura GRPS police station. The police said that the investigation is ongoing.
