Pune, 19 Feb (HS): Maharashtra Chief

Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and

Sunetra Pawar attended the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj birth anniversary

programme at Shivneri Fort in Pune district, on Thursday.

Speaking

on the occasion Fadnavis said the Shivaji Maharaj’s path is the best way for of

all round development. His ideals, values and principles will be placed before

the world in 2030 to mark his 400th birth anniversary. In the absence

of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, India’s history and geography would have been

different, Fadnavis said. His mother Jajau groomed him to give a different

direction to the society, when major part of the country was ruled by Moghuls.

His life always inspires for leading life for motherland, dharma (Duty) and

religion. He fought to relieve people from all the communities from the slavery

of Moghuls, imbibed values leading dignified life and respect for women. His

administration ensured satisfaction for farmers and no tolerance for atrocities

and injustice.

Maharashtra’

Cultural Minister Ashish Shelar, actor Ritesh Deshmukh, past and present

Legislators and government officers were present.

With

the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 12 forts of Shivaji Maharaj

have been registered a world heritage, and 27 nations recognised the heritage

structures.

Fadnavis

also assured to sympathetically consider the demands of Maratha Seva Sangh for

development of the heritage structures.

Eknath

Shinde said the present government plans to form the society and the governance

on the lines of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s principles and teachings.

Sunetra Pawar said that Shiveri Fort was an inspiration for her husband and

late DCM Ajit Pawar. He planned development of the fort and made available

funds for all round development of the region. She assured continued support

for development of the region.
